Find your motion.
Ambiguously Lost Studios was founded in Dayton, Ohio, in 2020 during the COVID-19 shutdown. Since then, the studio has relocated to Lexington, Kentucky, where it has expanded to include both a sound studio and a stop-motion studio. Today, Ambiguously Lost Studios produces stop-motion series and films that aim to normalize nontraditional narratives through comedy.
The name "Ambiguous Loss" is derived from a term coined by Pauline Boss, referring to the grief experienced when a loved one is lost in ways other than death. The creation of these stories stems from the desire to process significant loss and help time heal emotional wounds. We hope that, through our stories, you find something meaningful for your own journey.
